We are building a cluster and workload manager in Rust. It will be an integrated solution encompassing features such as task scheduling, workload allocation, domain registry, secret management, and request routing. We follow a microservice architecture. A strong focus is placed on stability and resilience, and our solution will be running on low-resource devices as well as in cloud environments
We are looking for a full-time Rust developer who is ready to work in a fast-paced startup environment on technically challenging problems.

You are a good fit for this role if you:

• have written programs in Rust,
• have knowledge of network and communication algorithms,
• have experience with DevOps,
• are detail-oriented and test your changes rigorously,
• have experience with Git,
• understand written technical English,
• you have good communication skills and
• are dependable.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Port prototypes from Python to Rust
• Implement business features
• Write a suite for integration tests
• Improve resilience, failure recovery, and resource allocation
• Experiment with networking algorithms, e.g. gossip
• The project is still in its infancy and there will be plenty of room for you to influence technical and product decisions.

How we will work together:
You will be working in a globally distributed team. We will follow an agile methodology while keeping meetings and distractions to a bare minimum. As such, you should be able to work well independently and follow best practices such as test-driven development.
