Overview:
As a Category Specialist, you will support the execution of pricing, promotions, and category-level initiatives that improve customer satisfaction and category growth. Your insights and follow-through will help optimize assortment and build value for both users and vendor partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track and update category pricing, promotions, and availability in the system based on manager guidelines.
- Conduct regular category audits and basic competitor checks to support pricing and visibility decisions.
- Support the onboarding and management of new SKUs in assigned categories.
- Work with vendors and the supply team to coordinate availability and delivery consistency.
- Assist in the preparation of performance reports for categories and sub-categories.
- Maintain updated records of product roles, pricing history, and vendor terms.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in retail or e-commerce, ideally in commercial or merchandising functions.
- Analytical thinking and good Excel skills.
- Basic understanding of product lifecycle, stock availability, and pricing strategy.
- Passionate about e-commerce and FMCG; willing to grow into a category or commercial role.
- Clear communicator and able to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
- Familiarity with online grocery platforms is a plus.
