Job Description

Digikala’s Edge Services Engineering team builds and runs the software that handles a large number of HTTP requests on the Iran Internet today. The Engineering Team is split into two groups: one handles product development and the other handles operations.

Product development covers both new features and functionality and scaling our existing software to meet the challenges of a massively growing customer base.

The operations team handles one of the Iran’s largest networks with more than 15 pop sites worldwide.
Your Ideas, Code, and Configurations will help the Edge Services to build a scalable CDN, Live Streaming and related products.

Job Requirements

• Expert in Linux System Admiration
• Expert in Containers and Orchestrations (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Expert in Automation Tools and Frameworks (CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, IaC)
• Expert in Monitoring Tools and Concepts (Prometheus, Grafana, Exporters, …)
• Solid understanding of HTTP protocols and services
• Familiar with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, …)
• Familiar with key-value data stores (Redis, …)
• Familiar with Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, …)
• Familiar with DNS related protocols and services
• Familiar with Logging pipelines
• Familiar with ELK stack

Nice to have

• Experienced with designing, consuming, or implementing RESTful services
• Experienced with working with distributed systems, SOA, or micro services
• Experienced with L4,L7 load balancers
• Willing to learn Security related topics (PKI, TLS, DNSSEC, HTTPS, …)
