Responsibilities for network security administrator

·         Advanced knowledge of switches, routers, wireless access controllers and firewalls

·         Open, Track, Escalate (if required) and Close related trouble tickets for all the above functions

·         Work with various internal engineering teams to store and update technical documentation as relates to all networks

·         Ensure maintaining of end user accounts, permissions, and access rights

·         All aspects in operation support including deployment and configuration, troubleshooting advanced issues and working with Engineering/Vendor

·         Implementing monitoring of products and services to ensure a healthy infrastructure

·         Procuring, shipping and remotely managing the installation and decommissioning of the security hardware

·         Heavy coordination with other teams involved in Global DMZ build-outs in the firm including Network Team, Data Center teams, etc

·         Develops complex technical assessments, evaluates engineering and integration initiatives and provides complex technical support to assess security policies, standards and guidelines

·         Develops implements, enforces and communicates security policies and/or plans for data, software applications, hardware and telecommunications

Qualifications for network security administrator

·         Interfacing with functional users in both routine and reactive monitoring situations
·         CCNP Security, Cybersecurity, MCSE certificate is desirable

·         A minimum of 2 years full-time professional experience performing a systems administration job role with ticket- based workflows is required

·         The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate basic scripting skills to perform common administrative tasks using Bash or MS PowerShell

·         experience with 2-4 years network security and global network administration experience within a service provider network and/or large enterprise networks
