Senior Business Data Analyst

The Commercial Insight Team is a specialized unit within an organization, focused on leveraging data to drive business decisions, optimize commercial performance, and enhance strategic planning. This team plays a pivotal role in understanding market trends, seller behavior, and sales performance to provide actionable insights that support the commercial objectives of the company.

Job Summary: The Business Data Analyst for Commercial Teams will be responsible for providing data-driven insights to support commercial strategies and decision-making. This role involves analyzing sales data, market trends, and seller behavior to optimize commercial performance. The analyst will work closely with commercial teams to identify opportunities, forecast performance, and improve processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Extract, process, and analyze commercial data to identify trends and patterns.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize commercial performance metrics.
• Develop ad-hoc analyses to support strategic initiatives and business cases.
2. Commercial Insights:
• Provide actionable insights to commercial teams to drive revenue growth and improve seller engagement.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform commercial strategies and tactics.
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities based on data analysis.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular performance updates to commercial teams.
3. Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with commercial teams to understand their data needs and provide relevant solutions.
• Present findings and insights to stakeholders through clear and compelling reports and presentations.
• Train and support team members in data analysis tools and techniques.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Business Data Analyst, preferably in a commercial or growth environment.
  
• Minimum 3 years or more work experience in relation to mentioned field
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python / R, Excel, and business intelligence software like Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles and performance metrics.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
