Planning & Optimization Senior Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Planning & Optimization Senior Specialist to join our team. As the Planning & Optimization Senior Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence through process optimization, data driven decision-making and workforce planning and scheduling within our organization, with a specific focus on the Fulfillment Center (FC) operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, gather data, analyze complex problems, and provide actionable insights that drive operational efficiencies and strategic decision-making

Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to identify optimization opportunities, define project objectives, and develop innovative solutions

 Develop and implement comprehensive workforce planning strategies aligned with organizational goals, ensuring optimal utilization of resources

 assess the impact of workforce planning decisions on operational processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed

Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies within the organization and propose innovative solutions

 Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations for process improvements

Prepare periodic reports to management, detailing planning targets vs actuals, analyzing differences, and proposing innovative solutions to address variances

 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and deploy optimization solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives

 Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, facilitating understanding and informed decision-making

Requirements

 Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics or a related field. Master's degree preferred

 Minimum of 2 years of experience in operational excellence and planning roles within a fulfillment center, distribution center, or related environment

 Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or related data visualization and automated report tools

 Solid understanding of statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling techniques

 Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights

 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization

 proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R with experience in handling and analyzing large datasets is a plus

 High level of proficiency in English, both written and verbal

 Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
