Job Description
Crouse's EV team is a pioneering group working on electric transportation in the main sections: Drive, Battery and BMS, and Motor. Each of these sections consists of Hardware, Software, System, and Algorithm departments. The goal of this team is to provide standard and high-quality products in each of these areas, in response to the fast-growing needs of EVs in recent years.

We are seeking an experienced power electronics or electronics engineer to join our team, specializing in power electronics system design with a focus on E-Drive (motor controller) hardware. In this role, you will be integral to the development and optimization of our electric drive systems. Your primary responsibilities will include designing and developing advanced motor controller hardware solutions, optimizing hardware performance, and investigating and resolving hardware issues. You will also collaborate closely with Software, System, and Algorithm departments to ensure seamless integration of motor controller hardware within the broader E-Drive systems. Staying current with technological advancements in power electronics and motor control will be crucial to driving innovation.

Requirements

• Proficient in circuit analysis, simulation, testing, and validation.
• Proficient in analog/mixed signal design, sensor interfacing, and microcontroller interfacing.
• Familiarity with power electronics circuits working principles.
• Familiarity with PCB layout considerations for analog and switching circuits.
• Familiarity with switch-mode power supply configurations.

Plus

• Knowledge of motor drive concepts.
• Familiarity with automotive industry standards (e.g., ASPICE, AUTOSAR, ISO 26262).
• Proficient in power electronics simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink).
•  Knowledge of automotive or electric vehicle (EV) systems and standards.
•  Understanding of electric motor working principles.
•  Experience with EMI/EMC considerations in circuit design.
• Experience with EMI/EMC analysis of power boards using simulation tools such as ANSYS.
•  Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) requirements for ensuring high-quality and reliable mass production.
