Senior Network Expert

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Participates in engineering and configuring routine and complex technical solutions for implementations and upgrade based on specific business requirements. Solutions may be new, existing, in-house, third party or a combination.
• Engineers, configures, and assists in the architecting of moderately complex technical solutions for implementations and upgrades based on specific business requirements. Solutions may be new, existing, in-house, third party or a combination.
• Performs day-to-day network administration tasks. Works with both internal and external customers and vendors to resolves technical network problems in a timely manner with a primary focus on moderate to complex problems.
• Troubleshoot network impairments and outages ranging from core network issues to identifying, analyzing, and resolving end-user issues/trends.
• Handle project work as it is assigned.
• Documenting network topology and configurations for new/existing networks or customers.
• Be on-call, work irregular hours, and travel as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• CCNP R&S required, CCIE desired.
• Master degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent.
• Deep knowledge of core network protocols and services.
• Deep knowledge of routing protocols.
• Solid understanding of switching concepts
• Experience with implementing, configuring and troubleshooting IP networks
• Experience troubleshooting/managing Cisco, Juniper, FortiGate & Mikrotik Devices.
• Experience troubleshooting multiple layers of the OSI Model
• Must be self-directed and highly analytical
• Willing to learn and develop new skills
• Possess a strong attention to detail
• Good written and communication skills
• At least 4  years of experience in Internetworking. 
• Experience with both laboratory and operational environment.
