Job Description

Boomi business line of Digikala, as a social enterprise, has established a new unit called Boomi Studio based on the insights gained from four years of experience in local small businesses. This unit, using the insights and information obtained about Digikala customers' needs and preferences for local products, as well as the knowledge of producers and local products from different regions of the country, is in the process of designing and producing products that align with the tastes of Digikala's audience. These products are produced in small local workshops in various rural and urban areas of the country. As a result, not only are unique and up-to-date products created, but we also aim to have a positive social impact by establishing sustainable, empowered, creative, and bold production chains.

The Local Groceries Supervisor plays a critical role in this team. This individual is responsible for developing and managing products by leveraging customer purchase data and preferences and working closely with small producers (farmers and local producers), while considering all legal and regulatory requirements. The objective of this role is to create unique, high-quality Groceries products that not only meet customer needs but also showcase the culture, identity, and story of local products, offering healthy and natural products to enthusiasts.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze customer purchase data to identify patterns and preferences.
  • Identify market needs and propose products that align with customer interests.
  • Research new trends in the groceries industry and introduce innovative ideas.
  • Collaborate with various teams (R&D, marketing, and production) to design new products.
  • Work directly with local producers to develop and enhance products based on the standards of the Boomi brand.
  • Identify and recruit new local producers to diversify the product range.
  • Establish and maintain positive and constructive relationships with local suppliers.
  • Oversee the production process and ensure products meet quality and brand standards.
  • Continuously evaluate current products and provide suggestions for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create sales and advertising strategies to launch new products.
  • Monitor product sales performance and take necessary actions to improve it.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, Groceries Industry, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of experience in product development, data analysis, or supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with the groceries industry, especially dried fruits and local products.
  • Passion for local culture and products and the ability to convey this passion through the Boomi brand products.
  • Ability to analyze customer data and turn it into actionable ideas.
  • Creativity and the ability to present innovative ideas for new products.
  • Excellent communication skills for negotiation and collaboration with producers and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage projects from inception to completion.
