Ryan Middle East Iranian LLC is a leading engineering and consultancy firm. We are seeking a highly skilled ICT Operations Manager to join our Tehran team. As part of our ICT-Finance merged team, the successful candidate will lead critical infrastructure, cybersecurity, and server management initiatives, enabling business operations to function efficiently while maintaining robust data protection standards.
Position Overview
As the ICT Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the company’s ICT infrastructure, network security, disaster recovery, and data repository management. Your primary focus will be improving the hardware and software capability of the ICT team, with particular attention to cybersecurity, cloud computing, and server management. The role will involve both operational and strategic ICT leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
Preferred certifications in Network Management, Cybersecurity (CISSP, CISM), or Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure).
Experience
Minimum 7 years of ICT operations experience in server management, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
Proven experience with disaster recovery planning, NAS-Dropbox syncing, and RBAC.
Experience in cloud-based systems and IT security management, including MFA and password control software.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Server & Network Management: In-depth expertise in configuring, maintaining, and optimizing servers, including disaster recovery, NAS-Dropbox syncing, and Active Directory management. Strong understanding of server security, system backups, and recovery strategies.
- Cybersecurity Best Practices: Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards like ISO27001 and GDPR. Experience implementing multi-factor authentication (MFA) and cloud-based password management systems such as 1Password or LastPass. Familiarity with RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) for secure and efficient access control.
- Data Repository Management & SSOT: Strong skills in designing and implementing a Single Source of Truth (SSOT) model, with the ability to standardize repository structures, set up version control, and resolve syncing issues. Expertise in maintaining data integrity, user access controls, and security for centralized data management systems.
- Network Infrastructure & Backup Solutions: Knowledge of network architecture, configuration, and upgrading to improve performance and redundancy (e.g., implementing backup internet solutions for different office locations). Familiar with high-level troubleshooting and continuous improvement of network performance.
- Version Control & Data Syncing: Practical experience in implementing version control policies to ensure data accuracy and prevent duplication. Skilled in resolving data syncing latency issues and implementing efficient syncing workflows between cloud and local servers.
- Software Integration & Asset Management: Ability to tightly integrate ICT assets with business processes, including onboarding and offboarding procedures. Experience maintaining an ICT Asset Register and ensuring alignment with broader company policies.
- Access Control & Security Protocols: Advanced skills in configuring and managing access rights for different levels of users and departments. Ability to define and implement access control policies that ensure data security without hindering productivity.
Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Role
- Strategically plan, implement, and oversee server architecture and network infrastructure to support long-term business growth. Lead the optimization of server performance, disaster recovery, and Active Directory configurations. Develop and implement network redundancy strategies to ensure business continuity. Collaborate with external advisors for complex infrastructure and disaster recovery
- Drive the strategic implementation of the Single Source of Truth (SSOT) framework to centralize and streamline data management across the organization. Establish long-term repository structures with standardized naming conventions, version control policies, and optimized syncing workflows. Lead initiatives to improve data accuracy, user access security, and efficient integration between NAS and Dropbox systems, ensuring the repository aligns with future business growth and compliance needs
- Develop a long-term strategy for managing ICT software licenses and assets, ensuring cost-effective procurement and alignment with business requirements. Strategically integrate ICT assets into business workflows, including employee onboarding/offboarding and compliance. Regularly review and update software tools (e.g., MS365, AD) and manage the ICT Asset Register to ensure assets are fully leveraged and aligned with the company's evolving operational needs. Plan for future technology upgrades and ensure the company is utilizing the latest, most efficient tools.
- Lead the organization’s cybersecurity strategy, ensuring robust protection against emerging threats. Develop long-term policies for multi-factor authentication (MFA), password management systems, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) across cloud and local environments. Implement industry-standard frameworks like ISO27001 and GDPR for compliance, security, and data protection.
- Define and enforce access control policies, improve folder structures, and ensure secure, role-based data access.
- Finalize disaster recovery plans, implement backup solutions, and ensure data loss prevention across servers and cloud systems.
- Work with internal teams and external advisors to improve ICT operations and integrate ICT processes with business workflows (onboarding/offboarding, finance).
