Job Description

The Business Support Manager is responsible for overseeing key operational processes within the organization, including logistics, ticketing, treasury, and business support functions. This role involves ensuring the efficient collection and delivery of financial instruments, managing second-layer support operations, verifying cheque images, overseeing securities processes, and enhancing merchant credit outcomes. The Business Support Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and support business objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities

  •  Oversee the logistics process for collecting and delivering cheques and promissory notes, ensuring timely and secure transactions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Manage the ticketing process in the second layer of operations, ensuring prompt resolution of escalated issues from the call center.
  • Collaborate with the call center team to identify recurring issues and implement solutions to enhance service delivery.
  • Supervise the process of chequeing uploaded cheque images to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Implement quality control measures to minimize errors in cheque processing.
  • Oversee the treasury process for managing securities, including promissory notes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Analyze treasury operations to identify opportunities for process improvements and risk mitigation.
  • Evaluate the results of early settlement and merchant credit processes, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate reporting and analysis of credit outcomes.
  • Lead the business support process for BMPL and C Credit loan imports, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to define requirements and implement enhancements to business support functions
  • Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, identifying trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement
  • Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making and optimize business processes.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business operations, logistics, or treasury management.
  • Proven experience in managing support processes in a financial services or related environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with business management software.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Work may be performed in an office environment with standard office equipment.
