About the Role:
As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for all aspects of TAPSI IT Services infrastructure. You would join an existing team of talented engineers whose goal is to provide IT services to a rapidly growing organization. You would provide day-to-day support, proactive maintenance and make improvements to managed systems. Attention to detail and a certain degree of creativity and latitude are required.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Active Directory (AD) infrastructure (DHCP, DNS, and other related systems) ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance.
- Perform regular audits of AD, ensuring compliance with company policies and best practices.
- Manage and support Microsoft Exchange Server, including mailboxes, distribution lists, email routing, and calendar services.
- Perform routine maintenance, backups, and updates to the Exchange environment to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated issues related to Active Directory, Exchange, DHCP, DNS, and other Microsoft-based systems.
- Administer and manage VMware ESX virtualization environments, including the configuration and maintenance of virtual machines, hosts, clusters, and SAN storages.
- Monitor the performance and availability of the virtual environment, ensuring optimal resource allocation and uptime.
- Perform regular system updates, patch management, and configuration changes to ensure server stability and security.
- Utilize ManageEngine tools such as AD Audit, Desktop Central, and others to enhance system management and security.
- Regularly monitor system performance, security logs, and alerts to ensure a secure and efficient IT environment.
- Responsible for administration and support of backup systems and software. Develop and implement effective backup strategies & disaster recovery for Enterprise Systems
- Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
- Provide 24/7 support as needed and during emergencies.
Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience working as a System Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of Windows Server operating systems and related services.
- In-depth knowledge of VMware ESX environments, including setup, management, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Linux server administration, including command-line tools and system management is a plus.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and work under pressure in a rapid-paced, customer-facing, 24/7 production environment
- Good oral and written communication skills in English.
- Must be attentive to detail, accurate, and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
