Business Intelligence Team Lead

About the Role:

The Team Lead for Business Intelligence will guide and grow a high-performing BI team to support Digikala’s data-driven decision-making processes. This role requires a seasoned professional with strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and leadership experience in BI or data analytics. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure that Digikala’s BI tools and data solutions are optimized for timely, accurate insights that align with business objectives.

** Please note that BI lead and Data engineers lead have different responsibilities. BI team deliver well-defined, transformed, tested, and documented data sets. On the other hand, Data engineers team are responsible for creating and maintaining the analytics infrastructure that enables almost every other data function, including architectures such as databases, servers, and large-scale processing systems. Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of BI analysts and data specialists, fostering a collaborative, performance-driven environment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and translate them into BI strategies and actionable insights.
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of BI solutions, dashboards, and reports.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency by establishing best practices for data management, documentation, and governance.
• Lead the implementation of ETL processes, data models, and visualization tools to facilitate efficient reporting and data access.
• Drive the adoption of advanced analytics and BI tools to improve data accessibility and enable self-service BI across teams.
• Establish and maintain KPIs to monitor BI performance and optimize reporting processes for continuous improvement.
• Keep the team informed of the latest trends and technologies in BI, analytics, and data visualization.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, data analytics, or a similar field, with at least 1 years in a leadership role.
• Proficiency in SQL, data modeling (SSAS), and ETL processes (SSIS).
• Solid experience with BI tools such as Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
• Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• High attention to detail with a focus on data quality and integrity.
• A degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and machine learning (a plus).
