Roles & Responsibilities
Define and continuously refine Agile project management methodologies, policies, and processes to support company ITS projects, ensuring alignment with the Program IT Agile Solution Delivery Management Office standards (PPPs). Facilitate iterative delivery of product increments in line with the company portfolio roadmap, ensuring each sprint/release aligns with business priorities and adds measurable value.
Champion Agile best practices, guiding the team in delivering high-quality work within short cycles to adapt quickly to changes in project scope or business needs.
Engage regularly with project stakeholders and cross-functional teams, creating communication plans that foster transparency and enable quick feedback loops.
Act as a bridge between business and technical teams to ensure the evolving requirements are continuously aligned, facilitating collaborative backlog grooming sessions and regular sprint reviews.
Deliver frequent progress updates to the Project Steering Committee (Steercom) and other stakeholders, emphasizing open communication of project goals, timelines, and adaptive responses to challenges.
Embed risk management into Agile processes, identifying and addressing risks and blockers collaboratively with the team as they arise, maintaining an adaptable approach to mitigate impact.
Collaborate with the team to forecast resource and capacity needs for upcoming sprints, aligning team composition and workload with Agile principles to maintain sustainable progress and avoid over-commitment.
Continuously monitor resource use and budget to adjust sprint planning and backlog priorities, optimizing resource utilization to deliver high-value increments effectively.
Lead and coach cross-functional teams, including internal and external contributors, in Agile principles, fostering a collaborative environment that values team accountability, open communication, and shared ownership.
Conduct regular retrospectives and feedback sessions to identify improvement opportunities and drive a culture of continuous learning and process refinement.
Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives, gathering insights from sprint retrospectives and lessons learned to adapt workflows, enhance team efficiency, and increase project predictability.
Exploit the Waterfall method to seamlessly collaborate in environments where Agile and Waterfall coexist, allowing for better integration of iterative Agile cycles within traditionally structured project timelines.
Manage projects that incorporate both Agile and Waterfall approaches, aligning sequential Waterfall phases (e.g., requirements gathering and design) with Agile sprints to ensure consistent project flow and milestone tracking.
Collaborate with stakeholders on Waterfall-driven parts of a project where fixed-scope deliverables are essential, ensuring clear timelines, budgets, and deliverables are established from the outset.
Track Waterfall-defined milestones alongside Agile sprint goals, ensuring long-term project objectives are met without disrupting iterative progress.
Monitor real-time project spending across Agile sprints, analyze cost variances, and take corrective actions to optimize resource allocation and prevent budget overruns.
Prepare and present budget variance reports and financial forecasts, leveraging Agile metrics such as burndown and velocity to correlate progress with spending.
Summarize feedback from business stakeholders, end-users, and cross-functional teams to management, providing insight into stakeholder satisfaction and areas for improvement.
Proactively escalate critical project issues that require executive intervention, detailing potential impacts on timeline, budget, and strategic alignment.
Develop and maintain real-time project dashboards for management, providing ongoing visibility into project status, financials, team capacity, and Agile metrics.
Education
B.Sc. in Information Technology, Computer, Industrial Engineering or Industrial Management
MBA is an advantage
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management area; with experience in supervising/managing others
Experience working in a medium to large organization
