GIS and Tool Engineer (Vendor)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• To deal with all aspects relating to the Geo-Spatial domain:

o    Ensuring all databases for radio planning are in place and regularly updated, e.g., digital elevation models, Clutter, vectors like city, roads, villages, site information, etc.

o    Investigating, enhancing, and deploying Geo-Spatial Data across Intra/Internet.

o    Performing All Geo Related Analyses with Vector and Raster data for Whole of Iran

• To prepare Routine insightful reports to related stakeholders:

o    Discrepancy Reports

o    Mapping Reports

o    Coverage Reports (Cities, Villages, Roads)

o     CRA reports

o    Group Reports for Coverage Population in All Technologies

o    Progress Reports

o    Site Reports

• To apply general data analysis and mapping, including:

o    Analyzing Geo Data to propose Site Locations to help the Planning team 

o    Identifying problem areas (geographically) using Network Statistics

o    Specify and analyze subscriber distribution on the map

o    Site Selecting, Distance calculating, and Other GIS Analysis

• To support business development:

o    Supporting and advising vendors and developers for creating new services/ initiatives (e.g.  New GIS Based Software to Show All Network Data)

o    Supporting Spatial Data Requirements for New Business Ventures 

• To deal with tool providers regarding product quality and delivery times.
• To support Radio Planning and Optimization teams:

o    Support Radio Planners, e.g., geocoding, drive tests, coverage, Service area

o    Maintaining spatial data for radio planning tool (currently Atoll)

o    Conducting data analysis as requested from time to time

o    Support Users in case of issues

• To ensure that new technologies can be developed using current information systems (spatial and non-spatial)
•  To keep records of Geo-Spatial Information for the company, including Sourcing and purchasing, Verification, Analyzing and Manipulation, Storing and creating lineage, Projecting, converting to different formats, Distributing, and Data capturing. Supporting spatial data requirements for the radio planning tool (currently Atoll)

Job Requirements:

• BSC in Surveying/ IT/Telecommunication/Computer (with a focus on GIS or spatial planning related field) 
• MSC in GIS is advantageous.
• at least 3 years of working experience within a GIS-related environment, where analyzing, manipulating, customizing, and developing GIS solutions enjoyed preference
• Spatial data capture and Analysis experience
• Knowing Database Structure
• At least 1 year of experience in mainstream GIS software packages, combined with desktop GIS and image processing software experience. Specifically, knowledge of GIS tools is advantageous
• Experience in Developing and programming would be an advantage
• Experience in Telecommunication Fields would be an advantage
