Senior PHP Developer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated PHP Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining high-performing, scalable web applications using modern PHP frameworks. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—front-end developers, designers, product managers, and QA—to ensure that our solutions are efficient, secure, and user-friendly.Key Responsibilities

Web Application DevelopmentDevelop, test, and maintain web applications and APIs using PHP and related technologies.
Write clean, efficient, and reusable code, following industry best practices and coding standards.
Database & Server-Side LogicDesign and optimize database schemas and queries for performance (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Implement server-side logic to handle data processing, integrations, and application workflows.
Frameworks & ToolsWork with modern PHP frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony for rapid development and maintainability.
Utilize tools like Composer for dependency management and adhere to PSR standards for code consistency.
Integration & CollaborationCollaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
Work closely with DevOps to ensure smooth CI/CD pipelines and effective deployment strategies.
Performance & SecurityIdentify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues.
Implement best practices for application security, including input validation, secure session management, and encryption.
Documentation & Code ReviewProduce clear, concise documentation for new features, changes, and processes.
Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with the team.

Requirements & Qualifications
Educational BackgroundBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Technical SkillsProficiency in PHP and familiarity with its latest features and best practices.
Experience with one or more PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter).
Strong understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks.
Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, web security standards, and performance optimization techniques.
Professional Experience2+ years of experience in web application development using PHP.
Proven track record of building and delivering production-quality applications.
Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment is an advantage.
Soft SkillsExcellent problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
