Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate, transparent, and timely financial records and reporting, ensuring alignment with local regulations.
Oversee and manage all accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and overall financial statement preparation.
Supervise treasury operations to facilitate seamless fund management and timely payments to international suppliers.
Develop and monitor strong internal controls, ensuring they are effectively implemented and understood by relevant stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and legal requirements while minimizing risks and optimizing the company’s financial structure.
Advise senior management on tax strategies, including leveraging available tax benefits to minimize liabilities.
Build and sustain productive relationships with banks, tax authorities, and external auditors.
Resolve technical accounting challenges and provide expert solutions.
Establish and refine controls for new financial systems and improve existing procedures.
Analyze financial results, variances, and trends to provide actionable insights to management.
Develop and maintain budgeting and forecasting models.
Prepare and deliver comprehensive financial reports, including monthly dashboards, KPIs, and ad-hoc analyses, to support data-driven decision-making.
Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, procedures, and controls.
Manage monthly and quarterly closing processes.
Supervise the credit allocation process for customers and ensure proper credit assessment.
Prepare management reports related to sales accounting and credit, and analyze performance indicators such as sales reports, collections, returns, check delays, collection periods, sales development budget, and others.
Oversee the preparation of external reports in collaboration with the finance department (quarterly sales reports, value-added tax reports, etc.).
Respond to auditors and tax authorities and provide the required reports.
Planning, directing and executing independent audit operations by the tax auditor and following up on issued reports and participating in dispute resolution meetings regarding the above reports.
Controlling all financial transactions and accounting matters, including systems auditing.
Planning to analyze the balance sheet and profit and loss and statement of resources and expenses of various units.
Reviewing and matching activities with the approved budget and analyzing deviations.
Preparing reports on all matters to the financial manager.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Accounting, Financial Management or Industrial Management.
At least 7 years of experience; 3 years of supervisory experience.
Experience in paper or packaging industries is a plus.
International experience is a plus.
Strong and up to date knowledge of auditing and accounting standards
Strong up to date knowledge of tax and social security laws and regulations.
Strong analytical skills in financial data.
Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis techniques.
Proven leadership experience in financial controlling, auditing, or functional controlling.
Ability to prepare and present management reports.
In-depth understanding of financial systems, ERP tools, and forecasting software.
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI is preferred.
Strong command of English.
Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
