Data Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows.
• Optimize SQL/NoSQL databases for performance and reliability.
• Process big data using frameworks like Spark and Hadoop.
• Ensure data quality, security, and governance.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers.
• Automate workflows and monitor pipeline performance.

Qualifications:

• Minimum academic and professional qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science,  or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in data engineering, with hands-on expertise in designing and managing scalable data pipelines and architectures.
• Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python, or Java
• Hands-on experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, Kafka)
• Having experience to work with Relational Databases (e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL Databases ( MongoDB, Elasticsearch)
• Strong technical expertise in using Docker for containerization and deployment, Git for version control and collaboration, and Linux for managing and optimizing server environments, including shell scripting and system troubleshooting
