Role Overview
We are looking for a Technical Product Manager (TPM) with deep expertise in banking APIs, payment integrations, and direct-debit services. This role involves direct collaboration with banks and financial institutions, troubleshooting API integrations, testing and analyzing their functionality, and ensuring seamless payment processing. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a problem-solving mindset, and experience working with Iranian banking regulations and payment infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and execute a roadmap for enhancing our direct-debit services, with a focus on API scalability and reliability.
API Analysis & Integration: Research, analyze, and integrate banking APIs for direct-debit services, ensuring compatibility with our platform.
B2B User Empathy: Understand how merchants and end-users are utilizing our services, to prioritize based on actual service usage.
Troubleshooting & Testing: Investigate API failures, analyze logs, and work with banks to resolve technical issues.
Delivery and Quality Assurance: Testing and analyzing technical deliverables and decide on their acceptance based on DoD.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a key technical liaison between internal teams, banks, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth operations.
Performance Monitoring: Analyze transaction data, identify failures, optimize API response times, and enhance payment success rates.
Documentation & Developer Experience: Improve API documentation and onboarding processes for internal teams and external partners.
Banking & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with Iranian banking regulations, including those set by Shaparak, Shaparak PSPs, Central Bank of Iran (CBI), and other relevant financial authorities.
Requirements
2+ years of experience in product management, API development, or QA in a financial institution.
Strong understanding of banking regulations, direct-debit services, and payment processing.
Hands-on experience with API troubleshooting, testing tools (Postman, cURL), and log analysis.
Familiarity with Iranian banking systems, Shetab network, and Shaparak regulations.
Ability to work closely with banks, PSPs, and financial institutions to resolve technical challenges.
Data-driven decision-making approach and experience in financial analytics.
Strong problem-solving skills, technical acumen and documentation.
Nice to Have
Experience working with Iranian payment gateways and e-banking services.
1+ years of experience as developer
Background in fraud detection and risk management within payment processing.
