USO Access TX Plan. & Opt. Senior Specialist (Vendor)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• To stay abreast of recent research and development in the field of Access TX.
• To interface with providers of leased capacity to ensure successful operational integration of access transmission network.
• To monitor and guide the planning, optimization, and implementation programs of turnkey providers (such as the delivery of physical connectivity according to topology and access plan) for the USO access transmission network
• To provide technical solutions for planning, optimization, and implementation of access transmission network projects and problematic sites and follow them by focusing on USO projects and related challenges and limitations.
• To ensure adherence to appropriate build specifications for all microwave and cable deployments in the access network
• To provide technical solutions based on the latest technologies to enhance access transmission network.
• To ensure adherence to budget for both capital and operational expenditure.
• Optimize access to the transmission network by considering radio and managed services requirements.
• To introduce access to the transmission team with the latest global and competitors’ technologies, equipment, solutions, and best practices as the knowledge source for the team.
• To estimate the future required capacity and equipment, considering the upcoming network growth, and propose proper action to cover it
• To provide viable solutions to overcome Access TX issues and problems of problematic sites.
• To provide root cause analysis of frequently occurring Access TX failures and incidents to ensure maximum availability.
• To provide optimum design of Point-to-Point (Microwave, E-Band, V-Band) and Point-to-Multipoint links.
• To optimize the number of VSAT sites and decrease the leased bandwidth from satellite service providers; while utilizing USO fiber to promote the company’s share.
• To collect approval for the cost of additional installed links in the network from the USO project executor, and reduce the number of existing repeaters.
• To maintain close collaboration with ICT regional managers and follow-up to obtain the necessary permits for improving the access network.
• To reduce processes and expedite the implementation of access TX network, as well as obtaining the necessary acceptances for them.
