Job purpose:
We're seeking a Finance Officer to join our Finance Team, supporting our consulting operations by delivering clear, insightful, and actionable reporting across all phases of our project lifecycle. In this role, you’ll work closely with Finance, Operations, and Commercial teams to develop and maintain non-financial reporting tools that enhance decision-making, ensure project profitability, and uphold our commitment to quality and efficiency.
Main Duties:
- Timesheet Reporting – Analyse timesheet data to support workforce planning, track labour costs, and evaluate project efficiency.
- Fleet Reporting – Monitor vehicle utilisation, maintenance schedules, and operational costs to ensure fleet efficiency.
- Supplier Performance and Demand Reporting – Track and assess supplier reliability, procurement needs, pricing trends, service quality, and market demand to optimise sourcing strategies and supply chain efficiency.
- Communication Strategy Reporting – Evaluate internal and external communication effectiveness and recommend strategic improvements.
- Competitor Analysis Reporting – Conduct industry and competitor research to identify trends, pricing strategies, and market positioning.
- Sales Dimension Reporting – Analyse sales data across segments, clients, regions, and product lines to inform business strategies.
- Data Governance – Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance of all reports with company policies and standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration – Work closely with stakeholders to refine reporting requirements and deliver insights that meet business needs.
- Automation and Optimisation – Streamline reporting processes through automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Insight Presentation – Communicate findings clearly and effectively to support strategic decision-making.
- Ad Hoc Reporting – Prepare non-financial ad hoc reports as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field;
- 7+ years of experience in project schedule planning, data analysis, or reporting;
- Strong Excel skills (including PivotTables, Power Query, and Macros);
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools;
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; and
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Desirable Requirements:
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials;
- Experience working in multinational environments;
- Experience negotiating with clients and suppliers;
- Background in engineering or consulting industries; and
- Familiarity with financial/operational KPIs and ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, Dynamics 365).
