Job Overview
The Junior Network Engineer will support the IT team in maintaining and troubleshooting the organization's network and server infrastructure. This role includes assisting with Microsoft services, network monitoring, virtualization, helpdesk support, and learning enterprise tools under senior supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the administration of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange, and Windows Server services (DHCP, DNS, File Server, etc.)
- Provide first-level IT support to end-users, including hardware, software, and network troubleshooting
- Respond to and resolve helpdesk tasks in a timely and professional manner
- Support server virtualization tasks using VMware and ESX platforms
- Help monitor and troubleshoot network performance (using Mikrotik and other tools)
- Assist in configuring and maintaining VoIP systems and Exchange Server
- Support onboarding/offboarding processes (user accounts, permissions, device setups)
- Maintain and update technical documentation for systems, configurations, and procedures
- Support system updates and basic troubleshooting for Windows environments
Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
1–2 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or infrastructure-related roles (internships or freelance work included).
Technical Skills
- Microsoft Excel: Advanced
- Server Virtualization (ESX, VMware, etc.): Advanced
- Active Directory: Intermediate
- Mikrotik: Intermediate
- Exchange Server: Basic
- VoIP: Basic
- Windows Server: Advanced
- Veeam Backup: Intermediate
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN)
- Basic understanding of firewall and network monitoring tools
Soft Skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow in IT infrastructure
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with non-technical users

- Organized and proactive in documenting and resolving issues
Certifications (Preferred):
Entry-level certifications like CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Fundamentals, VMware, or Mikrotik MTCNA are a plus.
