At Zarrino, we’re building products for emerging markets, and quality is at the heart of what we do. We're looking for a technically inclined Software Test Engineer who is passionate about product quality, curious about how things break, and excited to grow in the world of test automation and API validation.

This is a great opportunity for a junior developer or technical QA to take ownership of product quality and work hands-on with our dev and product teams. You’ll have a chance to learn and contribute to both manual and automated testing pipelines, using tools like Postman and Cypress, and help shape how QA works at Zarrino from the ground up.


Responsibilities:

• Test web and mobile apps from development to release to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Write and maintain clear, structured test scenarios, checklists, and documentation.
• Execute manual tests and expand our automation test suite (primarily in JavaScript/Python).
• Write and maintain API tests using Postman (and Swagger) to validate backend functionality.
• Investigate issues and bugs, provide clear reproduction steps, and collaborate with developers to resolve them.
• Work closely with product, support, and dev teams to give feedback during feature development.
• Contribute to and improve our end-to-end testing framework using Cypress.
• Grow your skills in test automation, API validation, and CI/CD testing workflows.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in QA, development, or a similar technical role.
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript or Python (ability to read and write test logic).
• Familiarity with how websites, web APIs, and mobile apps work.
• Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing.
• Exposure to or strong interest in Cypress (or other modern test frameworks).
• Structured, detail-oriented thinking with strong documentation skills.
• Comfortable working with issue trackers (e.g., Jira) and writing bug reports.
• Passion for debugging and tracing problems across systems.
• Team player with a desire to grow in automation and testing practices.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control (Git).
• Knowledge of testing concepts: mocking, stubbing, test isolation, etc.
• Experience with databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with container orchestration tools (e.g., Docker Compose, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with load testing tools (e.g., k6, JMeter, or Locust) to evaluate application performance under stress is a plus
