The Machine Learning Engineer role is critical to building and enhancing our advanced credit assessment, risk management, and fraud detection systems. By leveraging machine learning, this role will drive smarter, data-driven decisions, enabling us to empower businesses, improve operational efficiency, and maintain a competitive edge in the financial industry.

Your daily responsibilities at Barook:

• Develop and deploy machine learning models to optimize credit scoring, fraud detection, and customer segmentation.
• Analyze complex financial datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to integrate ML models into scalable production systems.
• Monitor and refine model performance to ensure accuracy and reliability in real-world applications.
• Contribute to the design of innovative tools and algorithms to enhance our credit and risk evaluation processes.
• Stay informed about advancements in machine learning and financial technology to keep Barook at the forefront of the industry.

If you have these qualities, you’ll thrive in this role:

• Strong expertise in machine learning techniques and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python or R, with experience handling large datasets.
• Analytical mindset with a knack for solving complex problems in financial or risk-related domains.
• Experience or familiarity with MLOps, AML, and credit scoring systems is a significant advantage.  
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical insights into business-friendly terms.
• Passion for innovation and staying updated with the latest trends in AI and fintech.
