Job Title: Cheif Operation Officer 
Location: Remote (based in Montréal - Canada) 
 
 
 
About the Role: 
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee the operational functions of our growing company. Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will be responsible for aligning business operations with strategic goals, optimizing processes, and ensuring efficient execution of the company’s vision. 
This leadership role requires a hands-on, execution-focused professional with deep experience in business operations, process automation, financial oversight, and team management with strong experience of software development and startup development. The ideal candidate should be able to manage the company’s day-to-day operations using Saas platforms such as Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Azure DevOps, Jira, …  while driving growth and operational efficiency.

Main Goal of this Role: 
Operational Excellence – Implement and optimize business processes, automation systems, and AI-driven operational efficiencies.  
Scalability & Growth – Develop operational strategies to scale the company efficiently, ensuring resource allocation aligns with strategic objectives.  
Team Leadership – Manage cross-functional teams, improve collaboration, and enhance productivity using best industry practices. 
Analyzing business processes from depth of the business and daily activities of the company and making documents & BPMNs 
Making Intelligent Agents using AI-Based tools for the company using cut-edge technologies to do tasks on Microsoft Teams and other platforms 
Maintaining and/or managing resources such as human resource, financial resource, intelligent agents, …  
Other daily tasks to helping company to project management and controlling the company 
 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
Operational Strategy & Execution: 
Design and implement scalable operational processes that enhance efficiency and productivity. 
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure company success. 
Identify and mitigate operational risks to ensure smooth business continuity. 
Lead company-wide process automation initiatives, integrating AI-powered tools and workflow optimizations. 
Business & Financial Oversight: 
Work closely with the CEO to develop strategic business plans and execute operational initiatives. 
Oversee financial planning, budget management, and ensure cost-effective resource allocation. 
Identify opportunities to optimize expenses while maintaining high operational standards. 
Collaborate with legal, compliance, and HR teams to ensure all operations meet regulatory and legal requirements. 
Technology & Process Improvement: 
Drive digital transformation and automation to improve internal workflows. 
Utilize AI-based tools and Microsoft Teams automation to enhance efficiency. 
Improve data-driven decision-making by implementing business intelligence dashboards and analytics. 
Team Leadership & Culture: 
Manage and mentor cross-functional teams to enhance collaboration and productivity. 
Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability. 
Improve internal communication channels to ensure clarity in business priorities. 
 
 
Required Skills & Competencies: 
Strategic & Leadership Skills: 
Proven experience in a COO, Operations Director, or Senior Leadership role in a fast-paced environment (at least 5 years of experience). Having an experience in startup or startup factory or VC as CEO or founder could be an asset.  
Strong business acumen with experience in operational strategy and execution. Having MBA, DBA or any related degree is a must.  
Excellent ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and optimize workflows. 
Operational & Technical Expertise: 
Experience in business automation, process optimization, and AI-driven efficiencies. 
Proficiency in using Microsoft 365, Teams, Power BI, and workflow automation tools. Using new LLMs and prompt engineering would be an asset  
Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and performance metrics. 
Personal & Communication Skills: 
Excellent English communication skills (French is a plus). 
Ability to articulate complex business and operational concepts clearly. 
Highly organized, results-driven, and proactive in executing business strategies. 
Additional Information: 
This is a contract-based role with the potential for long-term engagement. 
The role is remote-first but requires strong self-management skills. 
Candidates must be goal-oriented, hands-on, and execution-focused.
