At Rooberah, we’re building smart tools that help online stores interact more effectively with their users and customers, boosting conversion rates and increasing sales. As we kick off new projects and scale our product further, we’re looking for a Senior Back-End Developer who enjoys shaping systems from the ground up and is passionate about clean architecture, scalable APIs, and high-quality code.

Responsibilities and Expectations
As part of the development team at Rooberah, your role will involve:

• Working on an international product that’s rapidly growing and gaining traction in global markets.
• Building back-end services and infrastructure from scratch, with a focus on scalability, performance, and clean architecture.
• Designing and developing REST APIs using Django and Django REST Framework.
• Implementing business logic and handling data modeling with PostgreSQL.
• Managing environments using Docker for local development and deployments.
• Collaborating closely with the Front-End team, Product Manager, and UI/UX designers to align on feature development.
• Participating in two-week sprints, taking ownership of critical back-end tasks, and contributing meaningfully to team objectives.
• Handling part of the development requests from the support team based on customer needs.
• Making technical decisions that lay the foundation for long-term scalability and maintainability.

Skills and Expertise Required
To thrive in this role, you’ll need strong technical skills and a collaborative spirit.

Essential Technical Skills:

• Django & Django REST Framework: Deep understanding and hands-on experience in building robust APIs.
• Python: Clean, idiomatic, and maintainable code.
• PostgreSQL: Confident with relational databases, writing optimized queries, and designing effective schemas.
• Docker: Proficient in containerizing applications for local development and deployment environments.
• Git: Solid experience with version control, branching strategies, and pull request workflows.
• Basic Linux server setup and troubleshooting experience

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):

• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Netdata.
• Familiarity with background task processing (e.g., Celery + Redis).
• Understanding of microservice architecture or modular monolith design.

Soft Skills:

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Front-End, UI/UX, Product).
• Analytical thinking and strong problem-solving skills, especially for complex technical challenges.
• A passion for building systems from the ground up and writing foundational code for long-term projects.
• Eagerness to stay current with back-end technologies, tools, and best practices.
