Devops Engineer requirements

GSMPay is looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong technical expertise in CI/CD pipelines, Linux servers, containerization, and excellent collaboration and communication skills. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of DevOps best practices and a working knowledge of internal backend systems.

Responsibilities:

- Design and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate code testing and deployment.
- Manage Linux servers, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with Backend, Frontend and Product team members to resolve issues quickly and deploy new features smoothly.
- Maintain monitoring systems and implement new checks, integrity tests, and alerts.
- Automate repetitive tasks to improve team efficiency.
- Write clear documentation for installation and maintenance procedures.
- Stay updated with new tools, trends, and best practices in the DevOps field.


Requirements:

- Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including the OSI model, internet protocols (TCP/IP, DNS), and security fundamentals (SSL/TLS).
- Hands-on experience with Linux servers (including virtual machines, storage, networking, and security in a cloud environment).
- Basic experience of containerization and orchestration (Docker and Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash or PHP.
- Strong familiarity with Git and Git workflows.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack).
- Experience working with web servers and reverse proxies (Nginx, HAProxy, Apache, or Kong).
- Understanding of databases and SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on automating tasks to increase efficiency and reduce manual work.
- At least 2 years of experience with Linux servers. 
- At least 6 months of experience with containerized systems.

Nice to Have:

- Cloud & CDN Providers: Experience with cloud or CDN platforms such as Cloudflare or ArvanCloud.
- Automation Tools: Proficiency with tools like Ansible for automating infrastructure and deployments.
- Infrastructure as Code: Familiarity with Terraform or similar tools.
- Object Storage: Familiarity with Object Storage services.
- DevOps Platforms: Familiarity with any services which most of the development team uses, like Tracking(Sentry), Jira, Confluence or any service which installed or configured Self-hosted.
