PHP Developer (Intern)

Footbali is an official sports media platform with over 4 million monthly active users on Android and Web. At Footbali, we not only develop general football-related content and services but also create innovative football products and engaging entertainment experiences for fans.

Responsibilities: 

•  Assist in building and maintaining backend systems under the supervision of senior developers.
• Participate in code reviews and learn from feedback to improve coding skills.
• Collaborate with senior developers and other team members to implement new features and fix bugs.
• Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code following best practices. 
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure smooth functionality.
•  Stay updated with the latest backend technologies, frameworks, and best practices.
• Assist in database design, optimization, and management.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to planning and technical discussions.
• Follow company procedures, version control systems (e.g., Git), and agile development workflows.

Competencies: 

•  Foundational knowledge of backend programming in at least one language
• Basic understanding of how web applications work, especially server-side logic and APIs.
•  Introductory experience with databases, including the ability to write simple SQL queries or work with NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and understanding how to send/receive data between systems.
•  Basic experience with version control, especially Git (committing code, pushing to a repository).
• Eagerness to learn and adapt quickly to new tools, frameworks, and best practices.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, especially for asking questions, receiving feedback, and reporting progress.
•  Problem-solving attitude, with the ability to research issues and suggest possible solutions.
• Basic understanding of debugging tools and willingness to troubleshoot and test code.
• Time management skills and the ability to follow guidance to complete assigned tasks.
•  Attention to detail and care for writing clean, readable, and well-structured code.
• Team-player mindset, with respect for deadlines, documentation, and communication protocols.
• Curiosity and genuine interest in backend development and building scalable applications. 

It's a plus to: 

•  Exposure to Laravel backend frameworks.
• Basic knowledge of cloud services (Kubernetes).
• Understanding of software development workflows like Agile/Scrum.
• Awareness of authentication methods (e.g., JWT, OAuth).
• Understanding of test-driven development (TDD) or writing tests.
• Participation in personal or community projects hosted on GitHub.
