Job Summary: The Monitoring Team Leader is a critical role responsible for leading a team of engineers in the proactive and continuous surveillance of the multi-vendor Radio Access Network (RAN). This individual will spearhead the detection, initial analysis, and escalation of all network performance degradations as outlined in the service scope. The leader ensures strict adherence to SLAs, prioritizes issues effectively (especially for VIP sites), and drives the team to perform rigorous root cause preliminary analysis. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise in RAN performance, leadership skills, and a meticulous, process-driven approach to ensure network quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Monitoring Team: Manage and mentor a team of engineers performing hourly and daily KPI surveillance.
- Ensure Proactive Detection: Oversee the identification of network degradations at all levels (cell, site, cluster, region) through trend analysis and automated tools.
- Manage Prioritization & Escalation: Ensure VIP sites are prioritized and that degradations are escalated via Trouble Tickets (TT) with strong evidence. Coordinate with optimization and other teams for resolution.
- Own Initial Analysis: Lead the preliminary investigation into root causes (e.g., hardware, interference, transmission) for non-availability related issues.
- Uphold Processes & SLAs: Guarantee all monitoring, detection, and follow-up processes are followed as defined in the SOW, meeting all SLA requirements.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Document lessons learned from network issues to improve future performance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in the Telecommunications industry.
- Bonus: 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Expert knowledge of RAN KPIs, performance tools, and fault management.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
