We are looking for a skilled Senior Virtualization & Storage Engineer to join our team.
This role is ideal for professionals with expertise in VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter, Dell EMC storage systems (Unity, PowerStore), and Cisco MDS SAN switches, with strong experience in Disaster Recovery and High Availability solutions.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage enterprise virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter).
- Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise storage systems with a focus on Dell EMC storage (Unity, PowerStore).
- Configure and maintain Cisco MDS SAN switches, including zoning, VSAN, NPIV, Port Channel, and Trunking.
- Manage HBAs and server connectivity in FC and iSCSI environments.
- Design and implement Disaster Recovery solutions using native EMC tools (SRDF, MirrorView, RecoverPoint) or software-based solutions (VMware SRM).
- Collaborate with security, network, and server teams to ensure service stability and security.
- Prepare documentation for designs, configurations, changes, and operational procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in enterprise virtualization and storage environments.
- Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi administration.
- Hands-on experience with Dell EMC enterprise storage systems and management tools (Unisphere, Navisphere, PowerStore Manager).
- Solid understanding of RAID, LUN, Thin Provisioning, Tiering, Replication, and Snapshots.
- Knowledge of backup and replication solutions (Veeam Backup, Data Domain).
- Ability to design, implement, and support High Availability and clustering scenarios.
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
Technical Competencies:
- Installing, configuring, and managing VMware and EMC storage systems.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco MDS switches.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex enterprise IT environments.
- Ability to perform storage performance tuning, health checks, and root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in creating detailed technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams (network, security, infrastructure).
- Ability to design and implement enterprise-level virtualization and storage solutions.
- Ability to anticipate and mitigate risks in high-availability and mission-critical systems.
- Ability to work under pressure in incident and crisis management scenarios.
- Ability to adapt to emerging technologies in virtualization, storage, and disaster recovery.
