Web Team Lead

As the Web Lead at Abalon, you will take on a pivotal leadership role in our web development team, driving both the front-end and back-end engineering efforts. This position requires a highly skilled and motivated individual with a proven track record of delivering robust, scalable, and innovative web solutions. You will lead a team of engineers working with cutting-edge technologies.

Responsibilities:

Engineering Leadership: Lead and guide the front-end and back-end teams, acting as the primary engineering expert for web development. Ensure both teams are aligned, motivated, and working toward a common goal.
Task Delegation & Sprint Management: Delegate tasks efficiently and ensure timely delivery of sprint and roadmap goals. Collaborate closely with product management to balance priorities and resources.
Project Planning & Timelines: Oversee engineering projects from start to finish, including planning, timelines, and task breakdowns. Ensure that milestones are met, and projects are executed on time and within scope.
Issue Resolution & Support: Act as a point of contact for team members, answering questions, resolving issues, and ensuring that blockers are addressed promptly.
 Innovation & Research: Lead research and development efforts to explore new technologies, processes, and ways to improve both the engineering team and the product.
Development Lifecycle: Evaluate and define the best software development life cycle based on project requirements, ensuring scalability and high standards of production.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 4 years of experience in software engineering, with demonstrated experience in both back-end and front-end programming.
• Strong technical expertise in back-end (Python, Django) technologies. A broad understanding of full-stack development and modern web architectures.
•  Comfortable working in an agile environment, with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple deadlines. A results-oriented mindset with the ability to balance speed and quality.
•  Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build relationships with product, design, and insight peers in a cross-functional environment.
