IT Specialist

As an IT Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our organization’s IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for supporting and optimizing a range of IT systems and services, providing technical support, and actively contributing to IT projects and process improvements. This role requires a strong technical foundation, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Support: Provide first and second-line support for hardware, software, connectivity, and escalated issues across Windows, macOS, Linux, and enterprise applications.
• System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, user accounts (Active Directory/LDAP), and enterprise software.
• Network & Wireless Management: Monitor, configure, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VPNs, VLANs, firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless access points (e.g., Cisco, MikroTik) for performance, security, and optimization.
• Security & Compliance: Implement cybersecurity best practices; manage firewalls, endpoint security, and access controls; ensure policy and regulatory compliance.
• Cloud & Virtualization: Deploy, monitor, and maintain VMs and cloud services (Hetzner, DigitalOcean, Azure, AWS, Google Workspace); manage backups, DNS, and resource scaling.
• Infrastructure & Power Systems: Maintain server room facilities, including UPS, generators, cooling systems, structured cabling, and periodic health checks.
• Continuous Improvement & Projects: Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and IT projects; identify opportunities to automate tasks and enhance IT services.

Key Requirements

• Proficiency with Windows, macOS, Linux, Active Directory/LDAP, Office 365.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, routing, switching).
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and IT security best practices.
• Experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google Workspace, Hetzner, DigitalOcean).
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMWare, Hyper-V, Docker).
• Wireless network configuration and advanced network device management.
