About the Role
As a Market Development Lead, you’ll play a key role in driving business growth by identifying new market opportunities, leading merchant acquisition initiatives, and shaping market-entry strategies. You’ll work cross-functionally to expand our presence in emerging sectors, ensuring strong partnerships, data-driven decisions, and sustainable performance.
Responsibility:
- Identify, assess, and prioritize new market sectors with potential for merchant acquisition and business expansion.
- Drive merchant acquisition in newly identified categories, meeting or exceeding monthly and quarterly targets.
- Develop and execute market-entry strategies tailored to each sector’s dynamics and business opportunities.
- Collaborate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless onboarding of new merchants.
- Monitor and analyze performance data to evaluate progress and suggest actionable improvements.
- Identify and propose strategic initiatives that enhance merchant engagement and long-term retention.
- Gather market insights and feedback to refine acquisition playbooks and improve go-to-market strategies.
Job requirements:
- Proven experience in market development, business expansion, merchant acquisition, or sales strategy.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and relationship management abilities.
- Strategic thinking and ability to translate market insights into execution plans.
- Project management skills for handling multi-phase acquisition initiatives.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for collaboration across teams.
- Strong problem-solving and adaptability to fast-paced, evolving market conditions.
- High attention to detail in reporting, contracts, and data accuracy.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, CRM, and sales tracking tools.
