We are seeking a proactive and technically adept QA Engineer to take ownership of quality assurance across our product suite. The ideal candidate thrives in an Agile/Scrum environment, possesses exceptional organizational and communication skills, and has a strong foundation in testing both functional interfaces and underlying services, especially APIs. You will be instrumental in driving quality at every stage of the development process, from planning to delivery.

What You Will Do:

• Own all QA efforts and reporting for an Agile/Scrum team, providing clear and concise quality reports to stakeholders.
• Design, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases to ensure maximum test coverage for all functionality and edge cases.
• Perform extensive manual functional, integration, and regression testing, and retroactively apply updated QA standards to the existing product suite.
• Focus heavily on backend service testing utilizing tools to rigorously test RESTful APIs (RestAPI) and SOAP web services.
• Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to Network Protocols (e.g., HTTP/HTTPS) to diagnose communication and system defects.
• Collaborate with developers to code, test, debug, and deliver stable, scalable, and high-performing software.
• Document software defects and enhancement requests with concise and detailed steps for duplication, actively seeking to improve bug reporting methodology.
• Enhance the overall QA process and contribute to the development of our test automation strategy.

Requirements:

• At least 4+ years of experience in QA for an enterprise software company or tech startup.
• Strong hands-on experience in API testing and API test automation using industry-standard tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
• Solid understanding of web service protocols, including RestAPI and SOAP.
• Familiarity with various Network Protocols and their role in application communication.
• Basic understanding of programming/scripting concepts in languages like Python or JavaScript for writing utility scripts or working with test automation frameworks.
• Extensive experience with manual functional and regression testing.
• Proven ability to provide efficient test coverage for complex applications.
• Experience in testing mobile applications in a large application development environment.
• Excellent ability to describe, analyze, and communicate application defects and findings.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points):

• Hands-on experience in Performance testing.
• Experience in testing financial/banking platforms (web and mobile).
• Experience with ADA compliance testing.
• Direct experience contributing to an existing test automation framework.
