About the Role
We’re building a compact but powerful Market & Marketing Research Team that will work at the core of our strategic decisions — from product ideation and market entry to competitor analysis and trend discovery.
You'll be joining forces with a skilled Data Scientist (with expertise in LLMs, NLP, and data mining) to form a two-person research powerhouse. Your mission? To investigate, interpret, and translate qualitative and strategic market signals into actionable insights. You’ll explore markets, customer behaviors, unmet needs, and business opportunities across various industries and geographies.
This is not a typical “report-reading” role. It’s about strategic thinking, curiosity, and hands-on research.
Responsibilities
- Conduct qualitative and strategic market research to discover new product or service opportunities
- Analyze industry trends, consumer behaviors, competitor gaps, and emerging market needs
- Design and lead primary research: interviews, focus groups, surveys, field studies, etc.
- Identify market entry barriers, cultural nuances, and regulatory risks in target countries
- Collaborate with the Data Scientist to synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights
- Explore open data platforms, online forums, startup ecosystems, and academic publications
- Deliver clear and structured strategic reports, briefs, and presentations to key stakeholders
- Stay ahead of global business trends and suggest growth directions proactively
You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Have 2 years of hands-on experience in Market Research, Strategy, Business Intelligence, or Consulting
- Have conducted international or cross-market research and are comfortable navigating unknown markets
- Are skilled in qualitative methods: interviews, customer discovery, competitive landscape mapping, etc.
- Know your way around strategic frameworks (e.g. Porter’s Five Forces, PESTEL, TAM/SAM/SOM, etc.)
- Are an excellent communicator, presenter, and storyteller
- Are extremely curious by nature, business-savvy, and hypothesis-driven
- Enjoy finding answers even when there’s no perfect dataset or report available
- Are fluent in English (oral and written) – ability to research in other languages is a plus
- (Bonus) Have some exposure to marketing or product teams in a tech or SaaS environment
- (Bonus) Have experience in conducting research for market entry, product-market fit, or blue ocean opportunities
