Backend Developer (WallGold)

Job Description

As a Senior Backend Developer at Wallgold, you will play a key role in building and scaling a secure, reliable, and high-performance platform for online gold trading. You’ll work on core backend systems that handle financial transactions, user wallets, and real-time trading features — ensuring speed, scalability, and data integrity across the platform.


 Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using PHP (Laravel).
Optimize system performance for large-scale financial transactions
Design and implement RESTful APIs with best-practice security standards
Collaborate closely with Frontend, DevOps, and Product teams to deliver new features
Design and maintain relational databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL)
Implement and monitor logging, caching, and error-tracking systems (Elastic, Redis, Sentry, Prometheus, etc.)
Write unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability
Participate in code reviews, enforce clean-code principles, and mentor junior developers
Ensure data protection and secure communication for all financial operations
 Requirements

5+ years of professional experience in backend development (preferably in fintech or payment systems)
Strong proficiency in PHP (Laravel or Symfony)
Excellent knowledge of SQL database design and optimization
Familiarity with microservices and event-driven architectures
Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
Solid understanding of security practices: JWT, OAuth2, SSL, encryption, and data protection
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Team player with a sense of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement mindset
