Mission
· To follow the defined transmission topology plan, technological capabilities, and the rest of the Access Transmission Network, an appropriate Radio Access transmission infrastructure for USO sites must be established.
· To ensure the timely delivery of the required transmission capacity or facilities at the specified service levels by coordinating various developments within the USO network and aligning them with Access Transmission Development strategies.
To interface with providers of leased capacity, fiber, and vSAT for the USO network, often in challenging situations, and coordinate supplier relationships.
To coordinate with regulatory authorities on the allocation of transmission resources, the rules for utilizing dark fiber and VSAT, and negotiate for optimizing the USO network costs.
To collaborate with the Access Transmission department on resource allocation for network expansion through USO, including available materials, assets, and existing transmission infrastructure.
To control and follow up on the delivery of physical connectivity in accordance with the topology and USO Access Transmission plan, ensuring alignment with the characteristics of the Access Transmission network as the primary infrastructure.
To follow up on the process of building additional USO Access capacity using appropriate technologies (Fiber, microwave, vSAT) or leased facilities to connect traffic to the existing Access Transmission network.
To develop and regularly update detailed USO Access configuration designs, including route sizing and upgrade plans.
To ensure proper development of equipment configurations required for USO Access transmission, they must meet order specifications from suppliers or be available in inventory.
To develop and coordinate the installation and commissioning procedures for USO Access transmission resources, ensuring consistency with established standards to harmonize USO with the broader network and maintain high-quality implementation.
To research, benchmark, and investigate alternative technologies, providing management with innovative USO Access transmission solutions.
To control the performance of microwave links, routers, USO fibers, all Layer 2/3 links, nodes, access routers, and multiple turnkey vendors before handover to network operations.
To optimize access transmission performance and efficiency, develop solutions for problematic USO sites across regions.
To balance USO requirements and demands from multiple internal and external customers and project managers by prioritizing different needs.
To interface with multiple POI, USO transmission capacity, dark fiber providers, and vSAT service vendors, adjusting USO plans based on available capacities and facilities.
To collaborate closely with Access Transmission and CPG on the USO Access transmission network's management, modernization, and expansion.
To control and guide the planning and implementation of programs by turnkey providers for the USO Access transmission network.
To ensure the USO budget, including capital and operational expenditures, remains within approved limits, as per assignment.
To coordinate and harmonize USO regional developments with the rest of the transmission network, aligning with the company's overall business requirements.
