Job Description

The Operational Excellence (Opex) Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and process quality across the Operation. This role focuses on diagnosing operational challenges, redesigning processes, establishing performance standards, and driving continuous improvement through data-driven methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and standardized workflow optimization.
The ideal candidate is a structured thinker with strong analytical skills, capable of managing cross-functional improvement projects and supporting the operations teams in achieving scalable, predictable, and high-performance outputs.

 
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead operational excellence initiatives to improve productivity, reduce operational waste, and increase process quality across all operational units.
  • Conduct comprehensive process assessments, identify inefficiencies, and redesign workflows using best-in-class optimization frameworks.
  • Develop, document, and standardize operational processes, SOPs, and quality guidelines.
  • Monitor key operational KPIs, analyze performance trends, and collaborate with team leads to implement improvement actions and identify operational touchpoints that directly influence customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Plan and execute cross-departmental improvement projects, ensuring alignment with operational strategies and business goals.
  • Partner with data and technology teams to automate workflows and enhance operational scalability.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for operational issues and drive corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).

 
Core Qualifications & Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of BPMN2.
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience working with KPIs, dashboards, and operational performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with process mapping tools (Bizagi, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of SQL for querying operational datasets and Python for data manipulation, automation, and analytical modeling.
  • Track cost-related KPIs (e.g., cost per order, productivity ratios) and recommend actions to improve financial performance.

  • Excellent problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Strong project management capabilities with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience working in operations-driven or high-volume environments is a strong plus.
