Python Tech Lead

We are looking for an experienced Python Tech Lead to join our engineering team at GSM, where we are building a marketplace operating in both online-to-offline (O2O) and offline-to-online (A2O) modes using Python and the Oscar framework.

Responsibilities:
Lead backend architecture and development using Python
Build, scale, and maintain O2O and A2O marketplace services
Oversee and mentor the engineering team; ensure code quality and best practices
Design and optimize APIs, microservices, and real-time communication flows
Work directly with the Oscar framework to extend and customize e-commerce components
Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and Front-end teams to deliver high-performance solutions
Improve system reliability, performance, and operational workflows
Conduct code reviews and support CI/CD processes
 
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in backend development with Python
Expertise with Django and strong familiarity with the Oscar framework
Experience building real-time or high-traffic marketplace systems
Strong understanding of microservices, REST APIs, and scalable architecture
Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases
Demonstrated leadership or technical mentorship experience
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus)
Experience with O2O platforms, logistics systems, or vendor-based marketplaces is a strong advantage

 Working Hours:
Saturday to Wednesday
Work Location: Tehran, Jordan (possibility to work on-site, hybrid)
