We are looking for a Backend Developer (Python/Node.js) to join our engineering team and build the core backend services powering these global B2B operations.
You will collaborate closely with Product, AI, Frontend, and WordPress teams to develop scalable and secure backend systems used by companies worldwide.

This is a high-impact role where your work becomes the backbone of international trade automation.

 
Responsibilities:
Core Backend Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python or Node.js
Build RESTful APIs and microservices for global B2B functionality
Integrate internal and external data sources (scrapers, APIs, databases)
Implement authentication, authorization, and security standards
Optimize backend performance, scalability, and reliability
Participate in architecture design, code reviews, and documentation
Write clean, maintainable, production-level code
Platform-Specific Responsibilities
(Fully aligned with your WordPress landing system)

Build backend endpoints powering our WordPress Multisite Supplier Landing Engine
Provide REST API integrations for WordPress theme customization by AI agents
Support data ingestion for supplier profiles, products, and verification layers
Collaborate with the WordPress Theme Developer to create an API-first architecture
Assist in automating WordPress site creation, updates, and content management
 
Required Technical Skills:
Backend Development
Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask)
or
Strong proficiency in Node.js (Express.js, Nest.js)
Core Skills
Deep understanding of REST API design
Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
Redis (caching, rate limiting, queueing)
Familiarity with microservices & distributed systems
Docker (containerization)
Git/GitHub workflows
Security
JWT, OAuth
API security best practices
Input validation, sanitization, rate limiting

WordPress Ecosystem
Basic familiarity with PHP
Ability to understand or modify WordPress templates
Experience connecting APIs to WordPress sites
Understanding of WordPress REST API
Knowledge of WordPress Multisite (added advantage)
Automation & Scraping
Experience with web scraping (Python preferred)
Experience building automation flows or agent-driven systems
Architecture
Experience with queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Experience with AWS, GCP, or DigitalOcean (optional)
