DevOps Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled  DevOps Engineer to join the Infrastructure team at Khodro45 and work closely with Product Engineering. Your mission is to help product teams adopt modern DevOps practices, improve system reliability, and accelerate delivery speed. Over time, your work should enable product teams to independently manage their delivery pipelines and operational responsibilities (embedded enablement model).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product teams to drive adoption of DevOps and SRE best practices.

• Design, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.

• Improve service reliability through clear SLOs, error budgets, and incident response processes.

• Build and maintain Kubernetes-based infrastructure and containerized environments.

• Enhance observability stack (logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, alerts).

• Automate operational tasks and reduce manual workload across the engineering org.

• Support migration and standardization efforts toward golden paths and platform tooling.

• Participate in on-call rotation (SRE model) with focus on reducing MTTR and improving stability.

• Document infrastructure patterns, runbooks, and best practices for product teams.

• Enable product teams so they become self‑sufficient after onboarding (shift‑left ownership).

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (mid-level to senior).

• Solid scripting experience (Python, Bash, or similar).

• Good understanding of observability concepts and tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Tempo/Loki, tracing).

• Understanding of SRE principles: SLOs, SLIs, error budget, incident management.

• Ability to work with developers and help teams adopt platform practices.

Nice to Have

• Experience with platform engineering or internal developer platforms.

• Knowledge of networking, security fundamentals, and zero‑trust.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform preferred).

• Familiarity with message brokers, caching layers, or high‑load systems.
