We are seeking a skilled Virtualization & Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with VMware technologies, enterprise storage, server hardware, backup systems, and infrastructure automation.

This role is focused on deploying, maintaining, and optimizing our virtualized and hybrid infrastructure to ensure efficiency, reliability, and scalability across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain VMware environments (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, vDS).
• Manage enterprise storage platforms (SAN/NAS), including provisioning, zoning, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain and support backup systems, including Veeam and Symantec/Veritas.
• Install, configure, and support HPE ProLiant server hardware, including iLO, Smart Array/RAID, BIOS/firmware updates, and creating LOM (List of Materials) for new deployments.
• Develop automation using Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Handle infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security hardening.
• Maintain operational and architectural documentation and contribute to continuous infrastructure improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in virtualization, infrastructure, or similar technical roles.
• Strong experience with VMware: vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, vDS.
• Practical knowledge of HPE server hardware, including iLO management, RAID/Smart Array configuration, firmware updates, and diagnostics.
• Solid hands-on experience with SAN/NAS storage solutions.
• Practical background with backup systems: Veeam, Symantec/Veritas.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals and virtualization network components.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, SolarWinds, Prometheus, VMware Operations, etc.
• Familiarity with containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a documentation-driven mindset.

Preferred / Optional Skills

• Relevant certifications: VMware VCP/VCAP, HPE ASE/ATP, Veeam VMCE.
• Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Understanding of DevOps concepts, CI/CD workflows, or Git-based automation.
• Experience with other hypervisors (Hyper-V, Proxmox, etc.).
• Knowledge of infrastructure security and hardening best practices.
