Senior Product Manager

We are seeking a hands-on, highly proactive Product Manager to lead product development in the gold domain, a market known for being traditional, fast-moving, and highly operational. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving real-world problems, thrives in environments with constraints, and is motivated by the challenge of bringing structure and digital solutions into a 
relatively closed and relationship-driven market. The ideal candidate is not only strong in product thinking but also persistent, curious, and willing to “dig in” to understand how things truly work on the ground. 


Nature of Work in the Gold Market :

Working in the gold market requires a unique mindset: 
● It is highly dynamic, with rapid price fluctuations and time-sensitive operations. 
● It is relationship-based and trust-heavy, often involving offline interactions. 
● It is operationally constrained, requiring practical, non-theoretical solutions. 
● It is a closed ecosystem, where access to insights and real user behavior often requires field work, not dashboards. 

Because of this, the PM in this role must be: 

● Proactive in discovering information and not waiting for requirements to arrive. 
● Persistent and resourceful, able to unblock progress despite ambiguity. 
● Comfortable working with users who are not digital-native and prefer face-to-face 
interactions. 
● Driven to observe real workflows, spending meaningful time in the field to understand 
constraints and uncover opportunities. 

This isn’t a desk-only product job — it is a role for someone who enjoys real market exposure, 
operational problem-solving, and fast-paced decision-making. 

Key Responsibilities :

Discovery & Problem Framing 
● Conduct field research and interviews with market participants to uncover real 
operational needs. 
● Identify root causes, inefficiencies, and constraints unique to the gold ecosystem. 
● Translate ambiguous or informal feedback into clear problem statements. 
● Prioritize issues based on urgency, operational risk, user impact, and feasibility. 

Product Design & Solution Development 
● Design simple and highly practical product flows aligned with real-world constraints. 
● Create PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation. 
● Partner with engineering to explore trade-offs and deliver realistic MVPs. 
● Anticipate operational risks and design solutions that minimize friction or error. 

Execution & Delivery 
● Manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment across engineering, operations, and 
support. 
● Oversee development, QA, and release cycles with a focus on speed and operational fit. 
● Monitor the impact of launched features and iterate quickly based on field feedback. 
● Work closely with operations to refine processes and resolve production issues. 

User & Market Engagement 
● Build strong relationships with market users and maintain continuous communication. 
● Observe users directly in their working environment to understand true behavior. 
● Validate assumptions through pilots, rapid tests, and hands-on exploration. 
● Convert qualitative insights into product improvements and measurable outcomes. 

Cross-Functional Leadership 
● Align product direction with operations, finance, support, marketing, and business goals. 
● Communicate product decisions with clarity and transparency. 
● Navigate trade-offs between speed, risk, and operational reality. 
● Ensure compliance with business rules and sensitivities in the gold domain.

Requirements :
Must-Have:
● 2–5 years of experience in product management or product/business analysis. 
● Strong problem-solving and problem-framing skills in ambiguous, evolving environments. 
● High levels of proactivity, persistence, and ownership. 
● Strong communication and user interview abilities. 
● Ability to work under time pressure and manage multiple competing priorities. 
● Experience in writing PRDs, designing workflows, and driving cross-functional execution. 

Nice-to-Have :
● Experience in marketplaces or operationally complex products. 
● Familiarity with financial or asset-based products. 
● Understanding of behavior analytics and basic SQL. 
● Exposure to domains where trust, speed, and operations are critical.
