Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in Oracle Database, Linux, and Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC). The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of our Oracle database systems while supporting critical business applications in a high-availability environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Database environments on Linux.
- Design, implement, and manage Oracle RAC clusters for high availability and scalability.
- Configure and manage Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data replication and synchronization.
- Utilize Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for proactive monitoring, performance tuning, and reporting.
- Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and perform tuning to optimize efficiency.
- Ensure database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies are implemented and tested regularly.
- Manage database security, including user access control and auditing.
- Perform database patching, upgrades, and migrations with minimal downtime.
- Support development teams in schema design, query optimization, and troubleshooting application issues.
- Implement and maintain RMAN backup solutions and Data Guard environments.
- Work closely with system administrators and network teams to ensure database infrastructure reliability.
- Document database configurations, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database 19c administration and maintenance.
- Proven experience working with Oracle Linux operating systems.
- Solid expertise in Oracle RAC installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with RMAN, Data Guard, and other Oracle backup and disaster recovery tools.
- Deep understanding of database performance tuning, partitioning, and indexing strategies.
- Experience implementing database security best practices.
- Ability to write shell scripts and automate routine DBA tasks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
