As a Senior Business Data Analyst at Tapsi Food, you will be a key analytical force driving data-informed decisions across the company. Reporting to the CGO, you will act as a senior subject matter expert within the Growth Insight team. Your role is to bridge the gap between complex raw data and strategic action, serving as a high-level consultant to all business units (Marketing, Operations, Product, Finance) to help them optimize performance and scale effectively.
Key Responsibilities :
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as the lead analytical partner for various departments. Understand their unique business challenges and deliver tailored data solutions and actionable insights.
- Advanced Dashboarding & Reporting: Design and maintain sophisticated, high-performance dashboards in Metabase. Ensure these tools provide a "source of truth" for company-wide KPIs and are intuitive for all stakeholders.
- Strategic Growth Analysis: Conduct deep-dive investigations into customer behavior, acquisition funnels, retention, and churn. Identify high-leverage opportunities to drive growth and report findings directly to the CGO.
- Business Metric Standardization: Collaborate with the team to define and standardize key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure data consistency across the entire organization.
- Data Storytelling & Visualization: Transform complex datasets into clear, executive-level visualizations and summaries that simplify decision-making for senior leadership.
- Marketplace Optimization: Analyze the interactions within our three-sided marketplace (Customers, Vendors, and Couriers) to identify efficiencies and improve ecosystem health.
- Data Advocacy: Promote a data-driven culture by empowering other teams to use Metabase effectively and providing guidance on data best practices.
Requirements :
- SQL Expertise: Expert-level SQL skills are mandatory. You must be proficient in writing complex, optimized queries, using window functions, and handling large-scale datasets.
- BI Proficiency: Extensive hands-on experience with Metabase (or similar tools like Looker/Tableau), with a strong portfolio of creating insightful, user-friendly dashboards.
- Advanced Analytics: Strong proficiency in Python for statistical modeling, data manipulation, and deeper analysis beyond standard BI tools.
- Data Foundations: A solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and how to structure data for efficient, scalable reporting.
- Experience: 4 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a strategic analytical role, ideally within a fast-paced tech startup or marketplace.
- Business Acumen: A deep understanding of business operations and unit economics (LTV, CAC, Payback, etc.). You should be able to explain the "business story" behind the numbers.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills. You can manage high-level requests from multiple departments and prioritize tasks based on their potential business impact.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Industrial Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics
