At Okala, product design plays a critical role in product decision-making and in shaping user experiences at scale. We are looking for a Principal Product Designer who, beyond hands-on design and execution, can influence the product design direction at both strategic and technical levels, and support the team in solving complex problems.

 What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead the design team in technical decision-making and ensure the implementation of user-centered, data-informed solutions,
• Identify and analyze complex design challenges and propose innovative solutions to optimize user experience,
• Facilitate design decision-making processes in close collaboration with Product and Engineering teams,
• Create, maintain, and evolve design documentation to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of design processes,
• Ensure all designs are aligned with the organization’s Design System, brand guidelines, and scalable design principles,
• Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to ensure design consistency, quality, and a unified user experience,
• Provide constructive feedback, mentor designers, and support the team’s professional growth while ensuring high-quality design execution.

 
What You Bring:

• Significant experience in designing digital products at scale,
• Deep expertise in UX principles, user-centered design, and data-driven decision-making,
• Proven experience in leading design decisions and providing technical leadership within design teams,
• Strong ability to solve complex, systemic design problems,
• Experience in building, maintaining, and evolving Design Systems, as well as documenting design processes,
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams,
• A strong sense of ownership, accountability, and impact at an organizational level.
