Responsibilities:
•    Define and own the company’s overall technical vision, architecture, and long-term technology roadmap in alignment with business strategy.
•    Ensure consistency, scalability, reliability, and maintainability across all technical platforms, systems, and services.
•    Establish and enforce technical standards, architectural principles, best practices, and governance across engineering teams.
•    Oversee system architecture design decisions, including performance, scalability, security, and availability considerations.
•    Evaluate current technologies, platforms, and infrastructures, identifying technical debt and defining modernization strategies.
•    Provide technical leadership and guidance to Directors of Engineering, Tech Leads, and senior engineers.
•    Act as the final technical decision-maker for complex, high-impact architectural and technology choices.
•    Collaborate closely with Product, Data, Security, and Business stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
•    Drive adoption of emerging technologies where they create clear business or operational value.
•    Ensure security, compliance, and risk management considerations are embedded into system design and development processes.
•    Support organizational growth by designing systems that scale with increasing users, data, and business complexity.
•    Contribute to hiring decisions for senior technical roles and help define career paths for technical leadership.
•    Represent the technology function in executive-level discussions, communicating technical concepts in a clear, business-oriented manner.
•    Promote a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and innovation across the technology organization.

Requirements:
•    8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with at least 4+ years in senior technical leadership roles (e.g. Engineering Director, Principal Engineer, Technical Architect).
•    Strong hands-on background in software architecture, distributed systems, and large-scale application design.
•    Experience working with both Back-End and Front-End technologies across complex systems.
•    Deep understanding of system scalability, performance optimization, reliability, and fault tolerance.
•    Proven experience designing and governing architectures in cloud-based environments.
•    Strong knowledge of security best practices, compliance, and risk management in modern software systems.
•    Familiarity with modern development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, CI/CD, DevOps).
•    Ability to balance technical excellence with business priorities, timelines, and resource constraints.
•    Excellent leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
•    Strong strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities in ambiguous or high-pressure situations.
•    Ability to communicate complex technical topics effectively to non-technical audiences.
•    Growth mindset with curiosity and openness to new technologies and approaches.
