Data Platform Engineer

About the Position

We are looking for a devops engineer (data Platform engineer) to join our data platform team. The team designs, builds, and maintains the infrastructure and services that enable scalable, reliable, and secure data processing across the organization. While deep experience is not required, candidates should have a solid understanding of fundamental data and DevOps concepts, a strong willingness to learn, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset. Responsibilities


●     Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Ansible and Infrastructure-as-Code practices

●     Maintain and enhance Helm charts and Kubernetes manifests for deploying data services

●     Monitor system health and performance, and implement alerting and self-healing mechanisms

●     Ensure resilience, high availability, scalability, and security of infrastructure components

●     Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate data services into their platforms

●     Troubleshoot deployment issues and conduct root cause analysis in production environments

●     Contribute to internal documentation and establish best practices for infrastructure management and automation

 

Requirements

●     Familiarity with Kubernetes architecture and experience maintaining Helm charts and writing Kubernetes manifests for deploying data services.

●     Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation tools, specifically Ansible, and a solid understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code principles.

●     Familiar with querying concepts across SQL and NoSQL systems, including both OLTP and OLAP workloads.

●     Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python, along with a basic understanding of Bash scripting.

●     Ability to create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, and automation workflows.

●     Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, openness to feedback, and a proactive approach to solving challenges in a dynamic environment.

●     Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and adapting quickly within the evolving data engineering landscape.
