We are looking a highly analytical and results-driven Supply Planning Supervisor to lead and optimize our supply planning operations.
This role is responsible for overseeing supply planning processes, managing planning performance, and leading analytical and process-optimization initiatives to improve inventory efficiency, service levels, and operational responsiveness.
The position requires strong leadership capabilities combined with deep expertise in supply planning, inventory optimization, and data-driven decision-making, particularly within fast-paced FMCG environments.
Key Responsibilities
Planning Leadership & Operational Management
- Supervise daily supply planning activities and ensure execution aligns with demand forecasts and business priorities.
- Lead inventory planning processes to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing shortages and excess inventory.
- Oversee purchase planning and supply execution to ensure timely product availability.
- Coordinate closely with procurement, demand planning, warehouse, logistics (3PL), and commercial teams to ensure supply alignment.
- Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and fulfillment reliability and drive corrective actions where needed.
- Identify supply risks and develop contingency planning strategies to mitigate disruptions.
- Mentor and guide supply planning team members to improve technical and analytical capabilities.
Data Analysis, Optimization & Process Improvement
- Lead development of analytical and optimization models for inventory policies, safety stock, and replenishment logic.
- Drive automation and mechanization of planning workflows using analytical tools, SQL, and Python-based solutions.
- Establish standardized planning processes, data governance practices, and planning frameworks.
- Develop dashboards and reporting structures to monitor supply planning KPIs and operational performance.
- Initiate and lead continuous improvement projects focused on cost optimization, service level improvement, and planning accuracy.
- Collaborate with data, BI, and IT teams to enhance planning data infrastructure and decision-support tools.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supply planning or supply chain planning.
- At least 3 years of supervisory or team-lead experience.
- Proven experience working in FMCG environments.
- Strong expertise in inventory planning, replenishment strategies, and supply planning processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven decision-making approach.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, analysis, and reporting (required).
- Working knowledge of Python for data analysis, modeling, and process automation (required).
- Advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency.
- Experience with BI tools (Power BI or similar).
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced operational environments.
