Job Summary
The Huawei RAN Back Office Engineer is responsible for the remote monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Huawei radio access network elements to ensure high network availability and performance. The role supports incident resolution, preventive maintenance, and coordination with field teams using Huawei OSS platforms.
 
Responsibilities

• Monitor alarms and network health using Huawei OSS tools.
• Perform fault isolation and remote troubleshooting for BSC, RNC, eNodeB, and gNodeB.
• Execute configuration changes, parameter checks, and script-based operations.
• Support software upgrades, patch management, and license activation.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and periodic health checks.
• Analyze KPIs and performance trends to support optimization teams.
• Coordinate with field engineers for on-site interventions when required.
• Prepare incident reports, daily/weekly operation reports, and RCA documents.
• Follow change management and operational procedures.
• Be available for 24/7 operational support, including on-call duty and emergency incident handling to ensure continuous network availability.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of Huawei RAN architecture (2G/3G/4G/5G).
• Hands-on experience with Huawei OSS platforms.
• Knowledge of RAN KPIs and performance analysis.
• Understanding of LTE/NR and radio parameters.
• Familiarity with alarm monitoring and ticketing systems.
• Good knowledge of IP networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLAN, routing basics).
• Experience with log analysis, tracing, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Basic scripting/automation skills are an advantage.

Soft Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple incidents.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in Huawei RAN operations, NOC.
• Experience in multi-vendor environments is an advantage.
